Chocolate Milkshake Recipe

Yeah so I know this isn't strictly music related but who cares? This is my blog I can post what I want to! I mean it's not even like anybody is even reading this. It's like I am crying out distantly from an abyss of lost souls that is the internet.

Serves 2 greedy people. You will need:

A blender
A sizable mug (for measuring).
Cups
Straws
Two bourbon biscuits
Some dark chocolate
6 teaspoons of hot chocolate powder (preferably cadburys)
A mug of milk (about 0.75 pints)
Loads of ice

Step 1) Put the powder in the blender
Step 2) Put the milk in the blender
Step 3) Crush the bourbon biscuits and put them in the blender
Step 4) Break up the chocolate and put it in the blender
Step 5) Put the ice in the blender
Step 6) Put the lid on the blender
Step 7) Turn the blender up to 1 and then get scared so turn it off again, heart thudding
Step 8) Try again, this time taking it up to 2, then letting out a little squeal before turning it down to 1
Step 9) Hold the lid down on the blender as the whole thing shakes and rumbles
Step 10) Stick it out
Step 11) Take an experimental taste, decide it's the most brilliant invention ever
Step 12) Get over excited while pouring it into a cup and get it all over the table and floor
Step 13) Mop it up
Step 14) Put pretty straws in
Step 15) Drink it, enjoy, then blog about it

My blatant unfunniness makes me cringe. I shouldn't post this. I really shouldn't... Oh crap I just did. Sorry, innocent internet surfer.

Gigs, gigs, gigs

I have a rather busy schedule planned, music-wise...

June 26th- Dublin Castle. I will be on at 10:30pm and will be playing until about 11:15pm and will be joined by Emma Stevens, Steve Rich and The Hills and others- you can buy tickets for the event here. Please note this is an over 18 event!

June 30th- InSpiral Lounge. After missing months and months of the open mics I will be returning in high spirits and try to attend the weekly sessions.

July 4th- Clissold Arms. I will be playing a short set at their open mic night, free entry and great food.

July 20th- Porters' Lodge. I will be playing in the interval of their ladies' darts championships! I don't have any information on timings unfortunately though.

October 20th- Clissold Arms. I will be hosting and headlining a charity event in aid of JDRF. Other bands on the bill include Brick Lizard, WhadABeast (though they are soon to change their name) and Graeme Miller.

That's all for now, I am going to fill in the spaces soon though with as much performance as possible.

Harrroooo

It's been a while since I have showed my face to the blog-o-sphere with my previous blog, boysboysboyswinkwinknudgenudgeoohlaladoopdeedooodumb, (now dead and deleted) being far too embarrassing. The situation has been rather like when you see someone after getting unnecessarily hyper the night before and say some things you maybe shouldn't say eg. "I fart raisins out of my vagina" or something equally horrendous. You know? The next day's just kind of awkward. So yeah. Rest assured that my 13 year old self, who believed that she had an unrivaled knowledge of all things male now Rests In Peace. Moving on.

I've essentially started this blog in the hope that it will get my music more exposure (that's the real, underlying reason) and in order to entertain, update and communicate more effectively with my friends and fans! (That's what I'll tell people who ask...) You know, I never know what to do with full stops and brackets. I guess the bracket kind of makes a pocket universe where the sentence is its own entity and should therefore have punctuation in its own right..........

HANNAH, YOU'RE MEANT TO BE BLOGGING ABOUT MUSIC! HOW WILL ANYONE EVER HEAR YOU IF YOU MAKE STUPID JOKES THAT AREN'T EVEN ALL THAT FUNNY. THIS JOKE ISN'T EVEN FUNNY. EVERYONE KNOWS YOU'RE NOT SCHIZOPHRENIC AND THIS KIND OF THING HAS BEEN DONE WAY TOO MANY TIMES.. SHUT UP SHUT UP DAMN YOU.

Oh. I've just been informed by some know-it-all arse that the full-stop goes outside the brackets. No pocket universe then. Sigh.

Oh yeah, music! So er yeah, there's this write-up on the \Dublin Castle website. (I sort of happen to be headlining there in oooh under a month- 26th of June to be precise?)

"detuned guitar strummed and bashed by Hannah then in comes a punky indie backing band which I didn't expect...in fact the band almost get Sabs like ...a blend of folkish femme singer songer and alt rock/pop that works well.  Good crunching sound and she sits on top of it all nonchalantly."

Let's see if you agree with them. Kapaow. I thought it was a really nice thing to say, personally.
While I'm giving links out, I might as well post the link to where you can buy my debut, 6 track EP.... ZING and my facebook: MOOOO

Love you lots internet! May you find your Emma Watsons and RDJs and of course KITTEHS.
